Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all crew members deliver outstanding customer service through personal contact and training on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, ensuring fast, friendly checkout.
  2. Lead the store to achieve customer service score goals set by the District Manager.
  3. Manage front-end operations, merchandising (candy, soda, snacks), and ensure all equipment functions properly. Train associates accordingly.
  4. Handle opening and closing procedures, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure the store is always ready for customers.
  5. Perform store manager duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
  6. Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise crew members.
  7. Review corporate communications and respond as needed.
  8. Collaborate with the leadership team on merchandising and store recovery procedures.
  9. Perform store maintenance tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and organizing.
Qualifications
  1. High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years management experience.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  5. Maintain composure under pressure.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Operate cash register frequently.
  2. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and reach heights of 5-10 feet.
  3. Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
  4. Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers and team members face-to-face and via phone.
  6. Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel.
  7. Identify and understand email and print instructions related to merchandise and schedules.
  8. Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
