Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Customer Experience Director, Events SME to join our team.

This role reports to the Executive Vice President, Go-to-Market. It requires relational, consultative sales experience, account management, and event marketing skills (70% sales and account management, 30% event development and management). This is a rare opportunity to stay connected to customers and the industry and develop event strategies and activities for Crawford Group. You will receive a base salary plus commission.

You will put your strategic know-how and proven experience of planning and executing events into building your book of business and partnering with other Customer Experience Directors to create best-in-class marketing solutions for our customers. You will also be responsible for developing and executing Crawford Group’s portfolio of small in-person and demand-generating online events using your knowledge of best practices and data-driven insights to help us uncover new business opportunities and deepen relationships with existing customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and develop knowledge of the Crawford Group’s marketing services solutions, including service offerings, brand narrative, competitive landscape, customer experience operations
  • Build a book of new business for yourself and assist Customer Experience team members in securing new business opportunities, including RFPs and SOWs, as an event subject matter expert (SME)
  • Work with Marketing to qualify and sell marketing service solutions, including managing the delivery of the service
  • Implement approaches that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics, and timeframes to maximize revenue
  • Partner with customers through a strategic and consultative approach to understand their business priorities and needs and create a strategy to deliver tailored marketing services solutions
  • Utilize customer relationship management tools to input, gather, provide, and analyze customer data, including deal forecasting, activity and engagement logs, etc
  • Manage Crawford Group employees who are on assignment in your accounts
  • Establish Event-based strategies (webinars, peer events, industry presence) in collaboration with the broader Customer Experience team to acquire new customers and deepen customer relationships
  • Develop and manage Crawford Group proprietary events such as external webinars, peer-to-peer round tables, customer events, and strategic events around industry events
  • Work with the marketing team to identify themes and content for our events practice, including thought-leadership pieces geared toward an executive audience
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Event content creation for B2B corporate events, including conferences, sales kick-offs, field marketing events, virtual events & webinars

Qualifications:

  • Proven event leader with 5+ years of direct event development experience, particularly in intimate procured thought leadership experiences with executive-level audiences and virtual events
  • 3-5 years of B2B marketing agency or enterprise marketing, optimally within technology, finance, or healthcare sectors
  • Working knowledge of sales, account management, and marketing
  • Demonstrated success in working with sales teams and processes or direct selling
  • Proficient understanding of integrated marketing, including brand, digital, content, creative, communications, events, and experiential marketing
  • Deep understanding of event technologies; other Martech knowledge a plus
  • Ability to help customers articulate and achieve their business goals while building healthy, thriving relationships as a trusted partner, problem-solver, and opportunity spotter
  • Capable of interacting with and positively influencing the decisions of our customers (Executives to Managers)
  • Deep experience with data-driven sales and marketing strategies
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting and service/product pricing
  • Ability to build long-term business relationships
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Strong writing capabilities
  • Demonstrable network of marketing professionals
  • Excellent collaborator
  • Endlessly curious about the business, customers, opportunities, and challenges
