Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at our Oconomowoc, WI location. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers, and help keep shelves, floors and parking areas clean.

You’ll follow safety procedures and reinforce store guidelines to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping experience. Responsibilities include assisting with loading bags into cars, performing basic shelf conditioning, and helping customers locate products while informing them of specials.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while avoiding damage.
• Assist in removing merchandise from carts for checkout.
• Help load bags into customers' cars when needed.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and check prices for cashiers.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout and locate products.
• Follow safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
