Job summary

CNG Holdings, Inc. in Detroit seeks an Assistant Store Manager to be a front-line brand ambassador for Check N Go and related brands. You will support outstanding customer service, regulatory compliance, and daily store operations.

You will educate customers on products, manage cash-handling tasks, answer inquiries, and perform transactions in a compliant environment. If you have 1+ year in sales or service, strong communication, and reliable transport, consider joining our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, and/or cash handling preferred.
• Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in an autonomous environment.
• Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on the product portfolio and present options meeting their needs.
• Escalate issues to store manager, DDO, or corporate office if unresolved.
• Answer telephone inquiries and assist with applications and requests.
• Perform outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls per regulations and procedures.
• Respond professionally to customers to ensure support and value.
• Interact with customers using active listening to clarify information and defuse complaints.
• Handle cash drawer, deposits, and other cash handling duties; may include bank deposits/pickups.
• Balance batch receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform customer verifications and process transactions per policy (loans, check cashing, Net Spend).
• Complete compliance trainings and adhere to policies.
