Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Swansea, SC store and provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help with stocking and merchandising while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma (preferred) and prior customer service experience in retail or similar environments. Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, bathrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
