Job summary

CMC Rescue Inc in Goleta, CA is seeking a part-time, temporary Customer Experience Associate to support daily order processing and customer interactions. You will collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure accurate, timely service and a positive customer journey.

Customer Experience Associate (Part-time, Temp)

Temporary Goleta, CA, US

Salary Range: $19.00 To $21.00 Hourly

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Customer Experience Supervisor, the Customer Experience Associate will support day‑to‑day interactions with customers ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The Customer Experience Associate collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and other internal teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and accurately.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming orders and communicating delivery expectations to customers.
  • Review, update, and release orders received through automated order entry and web order processes.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner, via phone and CRM platform.
  • Process Returned Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and assist with repair process.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties assigned as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Basic understanding of customer support and related processes.
  • Solution‑based approach working with customers and other departments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a client‑centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced environment with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, thoroughness, and professionalism.
  • Highly organized and strong ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to calculate numerical totals including price and discount calculations and invoice totals.
  • Effective time‑management skills to maximize efficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business forms and purchase orders.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education and experience)
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience in data entry, administrative tasks and phone work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit and stand; use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lens. Requires long periods working at a computer and includes phone work.
