Job summary

PITT OHIO in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Customer Experience Associate to join our team. This entry-level role offers a 12-week paid training program and hands-on learning about our LTL and service offerings.

You will quote shipments, schedule pickups, track shipments, respond to inquiries, and help maintain positive relationships with customers in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in general math and ability to multi-task.
• Typing speed minimum 40 words per minute.
• Previous telephone customer service experience is helpful.
• Experience with transportation or logistics is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Email).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable to changing technologies and duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide general LTL and volume quoting.
• Coordinate and quote Fast Track / Time Definite shipments.
• Schedule pickups and trace shipments.
• Provide freight charges and process re-billings from sales reps and customers.
• Process fax and Internet requests and manage inquiries.
• Handle Managed Accounts and special requests from customers and sales reps.
• Resolve customer issues and respond to questions; build positive relationships.
• Meet monthly department telephone and email goals.
• Receive and direct incoming calls for Pitt Ohio and affiliates.
• Greet clients and visitors; maintain a welcoming environment.
• Provide information and assistance to clients and customers.
• Be flexible with duties and adapt to change.

• Receive and accurately direct incoming telephone calls for PITT OHIO and associated companies
• Represent the PITT OHIO brand in a friendly, welcoming, and warm manner with all callers and visitors
• Greet clients and visitors and notify staff of visitor’s arrival
• Provide information and assistance to clients and customers
• Maintain welcoming environment
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• High School Graduate or GED
• Proficient in general math
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm
• Previous experience in telephone customer service/call center environment helpful
• Transportation experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Environment, particularly Excel, Word and Email
• An excellent phone voice and a colorful / dynamic personality is essential
• Comfortable with existing and constant changes in technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility with changing job duties
