Job summary

KLA is seeking an Applications Engagement Engineer to join the CAPRES team, primarily supporting customers in the United States. The role centers on developing applications for metrology systems, performing characterization, and delivering measurable value in R&D and high-volume manufacturing contexts.

The candidate will engage with regional teams and customers, execute BKMs, and assist with knowledge transfer while contributing to product improvements.

Qualifications

• Doctorate (PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field with 0+ years of relevant experience; or
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement applications for CAPRES metrology systems, focusing on sheet resistance measurements and related techniques.
• Define and execute characterization plans; analyze electrical and magnetic data to support evaluations.
• Support on-site customer engagements with tool evaluations, ramping, and process integration; provide troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
