Job summary

KLA invites applications for an Applications Engagement Engineer to join the CAPRES team in the United States, focusing on metrology solutions for sheet resistance, CIPT, MOKE and FMR. You will develop and deploy applications, define characterization plans, analyze data, and deliver BKMs to customers in R&D and high-volume manufacturing.

You will work with regional teams and CAPRES headquarters, support on-site evaluations, translate customer needs into improvements, and help with knowledge

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor applications, device characterization, or process engineering.
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, JMP, or similar).
• Ability to independently analyze complex problems and develop effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement applications for CAPRES metrology systems, focusing on sheet resistance, CIPT, MOKE and FMR.
• Define characterization plans and analyze electrical/magnetic data to support evaluations and deployment.
• Support on-site tool evaluations, application ramp, and process integration for US customers.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable recommendations for CAPRES HQ and tool/software improvements.
