Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to support daily store operations, help customers, stock shelves, and maintain attractive displays. You will assist with merchandising plans and basic cash handling while promoting a clean, organized shopping environment.

The role involves unloading shipments, stocking merchandise on the floor, and providing friendly service to customers; teamwork and reliability are essential in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise on the sales floor or in stock room.
• Receive, unpack, and rotate merchandise; maintain stock and displays.
• Build and Stock displays; restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register, handle payments and bag purchases.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Keep store clean, including front end, restrooms, and stockroom, and assist with sidewalk displays as required.
