Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a retail associate for our Sierra store in the United States. You will deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean store, and upholding loss prevention standards.

You may be cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as needed. Key duties include ringing transactions accurately, promoting loyalty programs, supporting merchandising standards, and participating in store recovery and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintains cleanliness and recovery standards for the sales floor and store as a whole.
