Job summary

Kroger is seeking an enthusiastic associate for a full-time/part-time role at our store in Macomb, MI. You will help customers, learn department products, and uphold safety and quality standards while delivering exceptional service.

You will be expected to respond to customer inquiries, assist with product recommendations, and support store operations in a fast-paced environment. We value integrity, teamwork, and a positive attitude across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products and respond to questions, making suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items they inquire about.
• Inform customers of Drug GM specials.
• Recommend Drug GM items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Reinforce safety programs by following procedures and flag unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and request repairs as needed.
• Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
• Report safety risks, thefts, or fraud.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, potentially stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
