Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to join our local hardware store team in Oregon. You will engage customers, assist with their needs, and help ensure a welcoming shopping experience in a dynamic retail environment.

Candidates must be available on weekends and should have strong organizational skills. Prior retail experience and bilingual Spanish abilities are preferred, with a focus on accuracy in transactions and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail.
• 6–12 months of retail experience preferred.
• Regular and prompt attendance required.
• Flexibility with scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish verbal and written communication preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient in computer systems including related software.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with needs.
• Help unload incoming trucks and stock merchandise as directed.
• Maintain assigned department to remain clean, organized, and stocked.
• Participate in daily huddles and store communications, share improvement ideas.
• Execute daily tasks accurately as directed by management.
• Monitor displays, handle special orders, and prevent shoplifting through interaction.
• Operate cash register and process transactions as needed.
• Contribute to store initiatives and team meetings.
