Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a friendly cashier to ring up customer purchases and ensure total customer satisfaction. You will scan items, handle cash, checks, and card payments, and close out the register at the end of your shift.

You will also replenish inventory, assist customers with large purchases, maintain checkout area cleanliness, answer phones, and participate in merchandising and training programs as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with POS registers and handling cash, checks, and credit transactions.
• Ability to provide accurate change and close out the register at shift end.
• Willingness to assist customers with large purchases and deliver goods.

Responsibilities

• Scan and ring out customer purchases using the POS register.
• Provide accurate change for cash transactions and process checks and charges.
• Close out the register at the end of each shift.
• Assist customers with large purchases and carry items to their cars when needed.
• Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
• Maintain checkout area cleanliness and restrooms, break rooms, backrooms and entryways.
• Answer the phone with a professional greeting and maintain customer service levels.
• Assist in inventory management, price marking and merchandising of the checkout area.
• Identify and return outdated or overstock merchandise to the proper source.
• Package and prepare items for home or business delivery.
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training.
