Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Porterdale, GA to support daily store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will help organize merchandise flow, maintain displays, and participate in opening/closing routines to ensure a well-run store.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork and dedication to customer satisfaction, with responsibilities including supervising associates, enforcing policies, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
