Job description

Job Description Summary:

At The Coca‑Cola Company, we refresh the world and accelerate growth by building impactful partnerships with our customers. As a Customer Development Manager – Consultant, you will begin your career as part of a collaborative account team supporting customers across two dynamic, relationship-driven Foodservice On‑Premise channels: College & University and Convenience Retail. Working closely with the College & University FSOP Channel Lead, the Convenience Retail FSOP Channel Lead, and other account‑team partners, you will contribute to customer relationships, operational execution, growth planning, and business outcomes. Rather than independently owning every customer, you will take clear accountability for assigned accounts, workstreams, and execution priorities within the broader team.

You will gain experience in strategic account management, business planning, field execution, and revenue‑driving initiatives while sharpening your ability to turn insights into action. Across College & University and Convenience Retail customers, you will collaborate with the respective Channel Leads and cross‑functional partners to coordinate routine operational needs, track issues through resolution, support equipment and service escalations, maintain accurate reporting, and deliver a consistent customer experience. You’ll build critical skills in analytics, data storytelling, emerging technology, and customer engagement, positioning yourself for future leadership within Coca‑Cola’s commercial organization. If you’re a recent college graduate or early‑career professional who wants meaningful responsibility, team‑based impact, and a pathway to grow into a commercial leader, this opportunity was made for you.

What You’ll Do for Us
  • Support a portfolio of College & University and Convenience Retail customers as part of an account team, building relationships with key decision makers and taking ownership of assigned accounts, priorities, and follow‑up actions.
  • Collaborate with the College & University and Convenience Retail Channel Leads to plan and deliver customer calls, virtual meetings, stewardship discussions, and business reviews that present insights, advocate solutions, and secure commitment to agreed actions.
  • Contribute to team‑developed, data‑driven customer growth plans that align customer priorities with Coca‑Cola’s commercial, category, equipment, and asset‑utilization objectives.
  • Serve as an operational point of contact for assigned customers or workstreams by triaging requests, coordinating the right internal or Bottler resources, tracking actions, and driving timely closure in partnership with the account team.
  • Coordinate billing and invoice inquiries, purchase‑order needs, pricing administration, reporting requests, payment questions, and other routine account‑support activities with the appropriate partners.
  • Support equipment and service execution by coordinating escalations, tracking resolution, communicating status, and helping ensure readiness for openings, resets, refreshes, or other planned activity.
  • Support stewardship and business reviews with the respective Channel Lead and account‑team partners by measuring outcomes, identifying gaps, increasing visibility into investment performance, and recommending actionable next steps.
  • Leverage customer, category, marketplace, and execution data to build growth strategies, prioritize account actions, and improve customer coverage, asset utilization, and return on investment.
  • Support contract renewals and negotiations alongside the respective Channel Lead and commercial leadership, learning how Coca‑Cola structures mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining clear role boundaries and approval processes.
  • Use CRM systems and analytics tools to maintain accurate customer records, request pipelines, performance metrics, follow‑up actions, and issue‑resolution visibility.
  • Partner across Finance, Marketing, Operations, Account Coordination, Genpact, service providers, and the Coca‑Cola Bottling System to deliver integrated, profitable solutions and consistent execution.
  • Stay future‑focused by learning and applying digital tools, data visualization capabilities, and emerging technologies such as AI‑enabled productivity solutions.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset by building commercial acumen and delivering operational excellence, preparing yourself for broader roles in sales leadership and customer development.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, commercial, or customer‑facing roles; prior internships or leadership experience highly valued.
  • Passion for building a career in account management, customer development, and future commercial leadership within Coca‑Cola.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, interpret insights, and craft strategies that influence customer outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and presentation skills.
  • Digital fluency: familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and willingness to adopt emerging technologies such as AI productivity platforms and visualization software.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute effectively within an account team, take independent ownership of assigned work, and demonstrate leadership accountability early in career.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and to flex work schedules for customer calls or account team meetings outside standard hours.
What We’ll Do for You
  • Offer high‑impact ownership of customer relationships from day one in a dynamic market environment.
  • Provide targeted skills development in business acumen, analytics, strategic planning, and digital selling tools.
  • Connect you to senior commercial leaders and mentors committed to accelerating your career growth.
  • Position you for advancement into roles across Customer Development, Strategic Account Management, and broader commercial tracks.
