Overview

The Customer Development Director provides insights & analytics support to SGWS customers, suppliers, and account teams. The role involves identifying opportunities, making recommendations for category and customer growth, and leading higher-level initiatives at assigned accounts.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Present insights and opportunity gap analyses to key customer leadership to position SGWS as a preferred partner for beverage industry trends and best practices.
  • Communicate regularly with essential customer personnel, providing project updates and analyses.
  • Contribute to team problem solving through data insights.
  • Lead strategy development, implementation, and monitoring to optimize channel performance.
  • Deliver strategic insights, including gap analysis based on market dynamics and new supplier entries.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for timely and actionable insights communication to customers.
  • Gain expertise in advanced analytic approaches and facilitate data integration.
  • Stay informed of analytic industry best practices.
  • Lead category reviews with insights to inform future strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, corporate, and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, market research, or statistics plus 5-7 years of experience, or equivalent.
  • High-level understanding of Customer Development processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with external customers, suppliers, and internal teams across key domains including Market, Retailer, Consumer, Shopper, 4 P’s, and Operations.
Physical Demands
  • Primarily sitting, typing, and using a computer.
  • Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
