- Own and manage complex contracts and the change order process
- Work proactively with Project Leads and Business Development on contract documents
- Drive revenue targets and departmental goals through workload management and prioritization
- Identify project and contract‑related risks and provide swift resolution
- Project-manage contract processes to ensure timely delivery and execution
- Coordinate and finalize contractual instruments and budgets aligned with scope of work
- Negotiate and prepare contracts, budgets, and related documents for complex clinical trials
- Analyze and validate contract and budgetary changes and provide commentary to Project Managers and customers
- Communicate budgetary issues, escalated deviations, and resolve issues
- Serve as primary customer contact and develop customer relationships
- Work independently with Project Managers and customers on assigned projects
- Attend meetings or calls as needed to ensure timely contract execution
- Update and maintain records in CRM and Contract Management systems according to GDCM processes
- Follow review processes and evaluate contracts for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines
- Drive change orders from beginning to end and suggest process improvements
- Mentor, support, and train Contract Analysts and assist with quality control
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel may be required, up to 25%
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Finance, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 4–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in budgeting, finance, proposal development and/or contracts management within a clinical research/pharmaceutical environment
- Customer-centric, self‑motivated, and proactive
- Flexibility in responding to job demands
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and above‑average attention to detail
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and possess strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and understanding of costing models
