Job summary

Winn-Dixie is seeking a dedicated team member for a cashier/stock associate role at our Inverness, FL store. You will assist customers at checkout, bag items, and help move groceries to vehicles while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Responsibilities include unloading, packing, price checks, restocking, cart retrieval and strict adherence to safety and food-handling standards, including USDA/COOL compliance when relevant.

Qualifications

• Basic customer service and communication skills.
• Ability toassist customers and unload/pack groceries.
• Awareness of safety, sanitation and food-handling basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers unloading purchases onto the conveyor and pack 40% of items to prevent damage.
• Load groceries into customers' vehicles and ensure efficient cart movement (40%).
• Check prices across departments as needed and restock items to keep shelves tidy.
• Restock and use supplies efficiently to minimize waste; clean spills and remove trash in store and parking lot.
• Clean all store areas; perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Collect carts from parking lot and return to designated area.
• Adhere to safety, food handling and regulatory requirements; report safety issues.
