Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail associate to act as the point of contact for customers and assist with plan-o-grams, stocking, and merchandising. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and ensure accurate checkout while maintaining store presentation.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating merchandise, assisting customers, and keeping the store clean. High school diploma is preferred and the role requires frequent walking and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners, as needed.
• Clean front end and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
