Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company, operating Break Time convenience stores, seeks energetic Sales Associates to serve customers, process transactions, and keep the store well stocked and clean. You will follow policies and support food prep, pricing, and promotions with accuracy.

The role requires high reliability, ability to stand for long periods, and willingness to learn food safety practices and use store technology. This entry-level position offers growth with the Break Time brand.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of products during vendor check in.
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability and willingness to attend adequate food safety training and obtain a Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications.
• Physical ability to move products in the cooler/freezer and stand for long periods.
• Able to meet pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers, provide fast and friendly service, and conduct accurate transactions.
• Perform merchandising activities including pricing, promotions, stocking, and cleanliness.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Collaborate with the team to serve customers while following regulations.
• Use POS and devices to count cash, run reports, and manage inventory.
• Assist with training new employees on policies and procedures and loss control tasks.
• Assist with food preparation following guidelines and ensure proper time/temperature and display.
