Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Sales Associate to be a friendly first point of contact for customers, helping them locate merchandise and complete purchases in a fast-paced store environment.

Key duties include operating the cash register, stocking shelves, cleaning the store, and collaborating with the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. Excellent interpersonal skills and basic cash handling are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and give change.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and assist with sidewalk displays.
