• Operates front end scanning equipment and register, bags merchandise, and handles checkout procedures.
• Contacts customers by phone to address questions or concerns.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to answer questions.
• Manages cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons; follows security procedures and tobacco/alcohol guidelines.
• Maintains sanitation, adheres to cleaning schedules, and ensures health and OSHA compliance.
• Cooperates with coworkers to ensure smooth department/store operations and continuous improvement.
• Uses PPE such as gloves and safety footwear as required and may assist in other departments.
