Job summary

ShopRite of Wyckoff is seeking a cashier to deliver friendly, efficient checkout service. You will scan, price, bag products, and handle payments accurately, ensuring a positive customer experience at the Wyckoff store.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and comply with safety and QA standards. Training is provided and opportunities for growth exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze English effectively.
• Basic math calculations ability.
• Must be able to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, organized, safe front-end area.
• Sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per QA standards.
• Process payments accurately and provide correct change.
• Greet customers and deliver prompt, courteous service.
• Operates cash register and follows cash handling procedures.
• Identify products and assist customers with location and needs.
• Handle damaged or perishable items per policy.
• Maintain adherence to safety, security, and health regulations.
