Job summary

Carter Bankshares is seeking a Financial Services Representative to guide customers through everyday banking needs and educate on self-service options. You will act as the first point of contact, delivering proactive, personalized service while building lasting relationships.

You will handle transactions, open accounts, and refer customers to appropriate products and partners, aiming to improve customers’ financial well-being daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide transaction processing, account servicing, and new accounts opening; refer to partners as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive engagement and meaningful conversations to build relationships.
• Identify customer needs and generate referrals to internal partners and external vendors.
• Resolve basic account/customer issues using bank resources and escalate complex cases with clear, timely responses.
• Support branch operations by following processes, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
• Participate in the bank's strategic plan to grow retail banking business and meet sales goals.
• Pursue career development through training, coaching, and on-the-job learning.
• Attend bank-sponsored events to enhance branch visibility and grow customer base.
