Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support accurate order processing and customer communications. You will coordinate with Sales, Operations, AMO, Field Services, and Customer Support to meet customer requirements with high service quality.

Responsibilities include entering orders, maintaining customer contacts, and ensuring timely deliveries while handling inquiries and ensuring data accuracy across SAP and related systems.

Qualifications

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have 1+ years of experience in customer service, sales support, administrative support, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Have knowledge of customer care techniques within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Have familiarity with ERP systems and order entry software, preferably SAP or similar tools.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Have basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, reviewing, and entering customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Establishing and maintaining customer contacts to support sales and service activities.
  • Supporting resolution of customer inquiries and concerns related to order processing and delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining sales orders within SAP, JobCenter, Melvin, and related business systems.
  • Managing sales order details including material numbers, quantities, serial numbers, pricing, customer information, profit centers, sales organizations, and supplying plants.
  • Verifying customer acceptance documents, quotations, and design-to-quote requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate item conditions, tax information, freight charges, coatings, surcharges, and related order details.
  • Reviewing delivery schedules and inventory availability to support customer commitments.
  • Assisting in resolving inventory shortages impacting customer orders.
  • Acting as a liaison between AMO, Field Services, OCS, and Sales teams to ensure efficient order execution.
  • Maintaining accurate sales order records to improve quotation accuracy and billing turnaround times.
  • Scheduling workshop activities based on customer and sales requirements.
  • Creating inbound orders to notify operations teams of incoming equipment and support workload scheduling.
  • Initiating requests for new customer numbers, well master numbers, material numbers, and material status updates.
  • Updating equipment ownership records as required.
  • Supporting credit checks, credit overrides, and customer account validation activities.
  • Communicating with operational teams regarding execution of Baker Hughes sales orders and equipment delivery requirements.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you are supporting customers and internal stakeholders through accurate order processing, administrative support, and customer communications. You are coordinating with Sales, Operations, AMO, Field Services, and Customer Support teams to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently while maintaining high levels of service quality and operational accuracy.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you are being responsible for:

This position requires current work authorization in the country of employment. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.
