Customer Care Representative, Human Resources

We are hiring ambitious, motivated Customer Service Professionals to work virtually from home. This role requires that qualified candidates reside in one of the following states:

  • Central Region States: Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin

Role purpose and work environment

This role is designed for people who have strong empathy and communication skills. Days are spent interacting with people over the phone to help them with questions about healthcare benefits, 401k savings and retirement plans, leaves of absence and payroll. This position is ideal for those who can master complex information quickly, are passionate about helping others, and enjoy solving problems.

The CCR I role is a learning/development step in the CCR career path. CCR I’s receive training in a domain area (pension, 401(k), health, HR plans, etc.), how to use tools, how to manage customer interactions, and client-specific training. After starting to handle customer interactions, CCR I is expected to develop skills and progress to CCR II, typically within the first 15 months of the role.

Typical responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls from clients’ employees to answer questions, provide education, and resolve complex HR and financial issues related to health care benefits, 401(k) savings and retirement plans, leaves of absence, and payroll. Proficiency develops on the job.
  • Process transactions such as health enrollments, tax and direct deposit updates, 401(k) withdrawals or contributions, and retirement elections; may involve additional research and ongoing casework.
  • Initiate outbound calls to update customers on pending cases or other topics.
  • Navigate multiple tools and systems to provide answers and support during live interactions, and assist callers in navigating the system.
  • Communicate with third parties to research and assist customers with updates or inquiries.
Required experience
  • At least 4 years of customer service experience, or a combination of education and experience: High School diploma with 4 years of customer service experience OR an Associate’s degree with 2 years of customer service experience OR a Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-starter with the ability to provide high-quality customer care
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and dependability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
  • Ability to multi-task across several Windows applications while assisting a customer on the phone
  • Flexibility to work a specified shift and extended hours as necessary
  • Internet connectivity requirement for remote positions: high-speed broadband with minimum speeds of 20 Mbps up/down and equipment hardwired to the company-issued computer
Preferred experience
  • Experience in healthcare, human resources services or financial services

Salary Pay Range: Minimum 34,000 USD; Maximum 38,000 USD.
