Main Duties & Responsibilities

The Customer Account Specialist is responsible for managing the company's relationships with specific customers, ensuring their needs are addressed effectively. The role involves setting customer expectations, communicating initiatives, recommending and implementing improvements, and coordinating across departments to meet business goals. This position requires experience in customer care, supply chain, or logistics, with an ability to resolve complex issues independently.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for designated customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Enter orders for production, samples, and color matching; manage and update order and inventory reports.
  • Create quotations for items and freight; manage mold POs, finalize contracts, and handle tooling fees.
  • Send pro forma invoices; monitor order and shipment statuses, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer concerns proactively.
  • Manage receivables, ensuring no past due accounts; collect overdue payments if necessary.
  • Generate weekly or monthly performance reports against key metrics.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives and maintain a thorough understanding of products and the competitive landscape.
  • Manage and grow in-house accounts, supporting the sales team with strategies for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Develop comprehensive customer profiles; coordinate sample sending and market research.
  • Work with internal teams to schedule testing, review inspection reports, and ensure quality standards before shipment.
  • Manage project timelines and customer approval processes.
  • Develop and train team members on operating procedures.
  • Participate in monthly reviews to discuss performance, improvements, and growth projects.

This role requires on-site presence three days a week in Pasadena, CA. During training, full on-site attendance is mandatory.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Management-related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in customer account management, logistics, or business development.
  • Experience solving complex manufacturing and supply chain problems.
  • Knowledge of project and timeline management.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with CRM systems, product/process costing, and forecasting.
  • Experience working with Asian suppliers and in the plastics, packaging, or CPG industry.
  • Strong influencing, planning, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation

The expected salary range is $85,000-$90,000, depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Additional incentives such as bonuses or commissions may apply, details of which will be discussed during the interview process.
