Job summary

Gates Unlimited in Poway, CA, is seeking a skilled Woodworker/Carpenter/Fabricator to join our workshop team. Build custom garage doors and gates from detailed plans with precision, creativity, and pride in craftsmanship.

You will read shop drawings, operate a range of woodworking tools, and collaborate with design and installation crews to deliver high-quality results. 3+ years in woodworking or fabrication and a strong work ethic are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in woodworking, carpentry, or fabrication.
• Experience with custom door or gate building preferred.
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and woodshop equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Construct custom wood and composite garage doors and gates from start to finish.
• Read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints.
• Use a variety of woodworking tools and machinery (saws, planers, jointers, sanders, etc.).
• Perform custom trim, joinery, and assembly work.
• Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure high-quality results.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
