Job summary

Apple Inc. in Washington state is seeking a Custom Silicon Design Engineer for Camera Hardware to drive next-generation camera IC development from system concepts to chip implementation.

You will collaborate across camera hardware teams to specify, design, validate, and optimize custom silicon solutions that power Apple’s camera experiences. The role requires hands-on analog/mixed-signal IC design experience, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Experience with designing analog or mixed-signal ICs in areas such as power management current drivers or analog sensing.
• Solid design intuition and understanding of architectural trade-offs (power/performance/area etc.) in both silicon and system-level design.
• Sharp problem-solving skills and critical thinking with strong understanding of EE fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Defining and driving IC specifications working in tandem with camera systems mechanical optical firmware and product/test engineers.
• Engagement in vendor selection including assessment of technical capabilities and existing IP.
• Working with vendors to ensure IC implementations conform to system specifications.
• Reviewing and providing guidance for both vendor and internal validation plans results and reports.
• Providing IC specific and broad electrical engineering support to camera HW and cross functional teams.
