Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering Inc. in Marlboro, MA seeks a Custom Systems Engineer (PERM) to lead the assembly, programming, and testing of advanced automation and robotic systems for CNC machine tools.

This role integrates mechanical, electrical, and software components to deliver turnkey automation solutions for diverse applications. You will support customer installations, provide training, and help integrate factory and aftermarket options into machine systems.

Qualifications

• Robotics or automation integration experience preferred.
• Strong math, geometry and trig for mechanical/programming tasks.
• Ability to learn and apply Fanuc Robo Guide or similar robot programming software.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical assembly of robots and automation systems.
• Integrate components into CNC machine tools and automation cells.
• Test, simulate production, and demonstrate system performance.
• Program and debug robot systems (Fanuc and others) to meet requirements.
• Provide onsite installation, setup, and training.
• Offer remote and phone support after delivery.
• Travel to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and service teams.
• Support continuous improvement to ensure quality and budget goals.
