Job summary

Motor City Wash Works in Northville, MI is seeking a Panel Builder to assemble electrical panels in our Northville facility. You will read assembly drawings, identify components, lay out din rails, and wire panels.

The ideal candidate has electrical/technical experience (5 years), hands-on tool knowledge (cordless drill, wrenches, screwdrivers), and flexibility for overtime and weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Electrical/technical experience with 5 years related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge and ability of handtool operation: cordless drill, wrenches, screwdrivers, knockout punches, hole saws, wire strippers, etc.
• Overtime and weekend work are sometimes required.

Responsibilities

• Read assembly drawings and electrical schematics to perform the electrical assembly.
• Identify electrical components such as breakers, disconnect switches, starters, relays, timers, overloads, etc.
• Layout din rail and components per drawings.
• Fabricate enclosure cut-outs.
• Drill and tap panel back plates; install components.
• Wire panels point to point with various wire sizes.
• Rigging and setting backplates.
• Program VFDs.
• Test all panels for functionality.
• Work in a healthy team environment, assist others when able and as needed.

Motor City Wash Works is looking for energetic and motivated Panel Builder candidates in our Northville facility. As a member of the team some of the e ssential duties and functions are as follows.

Responsibilities

• Read assembly drawings and electrical schematics to perform the electrical assembly
• Identifyelectrical components such as breakers, disconnect switches, starters, relays, timers, overloads, etc.
• Completely layout all din rail and components per drawings
• Fabricate enclosure cut-outs.
• Drill and tap panel back plates. Install components.
• Wire panels point to point with various wiresizes
• Rigging and setting backplates
• Program VFD’s
• Test all panels forfunctionality
• Work in a healthy team environment,assistsothers when able and asneeded
