Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Custom Fabricator to join a hands-on manufacturing environment in Lithia Springs, GA. You will take drawings, measurements, or finished concepts and turn them into high-quality, finished metal components through cutting, fitting, welding, and precise assembly.

This role emphasizes building and problem solving over repetitive production work, with a focus on custom, low-volume fabrication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional fabrication experience.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• Experience with custom or low-volume fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints or fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with measuring, layout, cutting, grinding, and fit-up.
• Ability to work independently and take a project from start to finish.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to safely operate common fabrication tools and equipment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld custom steel components and assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications
• Perform accurate layout, measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and fit-up
• Perform MIG welding on steel and ensure clean, structurally sound welds
• Use hand and power tools, saws, grinders, drills, and other fabrication equipment

• Work with different vehicle-specific and custom configurations
• Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, and appearance
• Troubleshoot fitment or fabrication issues and determine the best solution
