Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Custom Developer (.NET) to support a government client in Washington, DC. The role focuses on maintaining mission-critical .NET web applications that rely on an Oracle database; you will take ownership of the codebase and collaborate with stakeholders.

The position is 100% onsite in Washington, DC. A US citizenship and Top Secret clearance are required to operate within a government program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and Production environment experience.
• Proven experience with .NET stack and Oracle databases.
• Experience with version control and deployment pipelines (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Git Actions, SVN).
• Familiarity with C#, Javascript, Typescript, SQL, HTML, CSS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in Agile settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mission-critical .NET web applications using Oracle DB.
• Create and execute DDL and DML statements.
• Fix bugs and provide production support for applications.
• Implement enhancements and manage version control for the team.

Overview

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Custom Developer (.NET) with one of our government clients. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining mission-critical .NET web applications using an Oracle database. The ideal candidate will be able to take ownership of the codebase and provide recommendations to stakeholders.


• Creates and executes DDL and DML statements


• Correct bugs and handle production support for the applications


• Implement enhancements for the applications


• Manage version control for the existing team


• Work and report within an Agile Framework


• Create documentation for legacy applications, such as data dictionaries

Qualifications

• Previous work experience with databases in a Production environment


• Previous work experience with .NET


• Proven understanding of version control and deployment pipelines: i.e. Git, GitLab, GitHub, Git Actions, SVN


• Previous work experience with Oracle databases

• Experience with Metastorm BPM development platform


• ASP.NET Architecture (Intermediate)
