Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Custom Crate Fabrication and Logistics Technician for our Menomonee Falls facility. You will blend hands-on craftsmanship with shipping and receiving to ensure every order is protected, labeled, documented, and on time.

You'll build crates tailored to machine dimensions, load and unload with forklifts and pallet jacks, verify paperwork, and help with material pulls and light maintenance. The role requires safety-minded teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Read and understand simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Math: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Communicate effectively in small group and 1:1 settings.
• Capable of using standard office equipment (computer, telephone, fax, copier, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Transform packing lists into ready-to-ship crates and boxes.
• Design and assemble custom wood crates tailored to each machine’s dimensions and handling needs.
• Load outbound trucks and unload inbound deliveries with a forklift and pallet jack.
• Verify bills of lading and inspect materials for quantity and quality.
• Stage and deliver materials from storage to production to keep workflows moving.
• Maintain a safe, orderly work area and perform routine equipment maintenance.
