Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of cabinet-making experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficiency with woodworking hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Completion of a cabinet-making apprenticeship or woodworking training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble custom cabinets, furniture, and architectural millwork.
• Read blueprints, shop drawings, and written instructions to determine dimensions and construction requirements.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fit wood and substitute materials.
• Operate woodworking machinery, including saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, and shapers.
• Assemble components using adhesives, fasteners, and clamps.
• Install hardware, including hinges, handles, and drawer pulls.
• Sand, trim, scrape, and finish surfaces and joints.
• Inspect dimensions, material quality, and finished work for accuracy and proper fit.
• Match wood grain, color, and texture to meet project specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
