Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an operations analyst to monitor custody accounts and statement activity, ensuring accuracy and timely releases. You will research discrepancies, complete statement releases, and support BPM and request-management activities across multiple processes.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, strong analytical and numerical skills, and proficiency with Excel and business applications. Banking experience is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor custody accounts and statement activity to help ensure statements are produced accurately and released according to established requirements.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve statement exceptions and account discrepancies.
  • Complete statement releases and process requests involving backdated transactions.
  • Perform master trust evaluations, including reviewing account activity, categorizing transactions, and posting activity into the appropriate master trust structure.
  • Manage Business Process Management (BPM) requests and other operational or request-management activities.
  • Provide technical, process, and troubleshooting support for assigned accounts, products, systems, and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal business-line partners and explain statement-related activity or issues when needed.
  • Manage multiple operational processes and service-level commitments simultaneously.
  • Identify operational risks, support established controls, and recommend opportunities to improve process efficiency.
  • Apply independent judgment and decision-making when researching and resolving operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of daily processing activities.
  • Contribute to department initiatives and process improvements within the analyst's area of expertise.
  • Provide professional, responsive service to internal partners and, when necessary, help support client-related discussions.
Basic Qualifications

Two or more years of related operational or professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Basic-to-intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work within existing spreadsheets, understand spreadsheet structure, manipulate data, and create formulas when needed. Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, custody operational functions, systems, procedures, products, and services. Experience researching discrepancies, resolving exceptions, or supporting transaction- and account-based operational processes. Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Ability to recognize trends and maintain accuracy when working with numerical information. Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, manage multiple processes, and meet established deadlines and service-level commitments. Strong technical aptitude and ability to navigate multiple business applications, email systems, and request-management tools. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and internal customer-service skills. Banking or financial-services experience is helpful but not required. Candidates from other industries will be considered when they demonstrate relevant analytical, technical, numerical, and operational experience.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $60,435.00 - $71,100.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
