Provides preventive cleaning services for Federal Agency in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This position is responsible for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
• Performs cleaning duties such as dusting lights, furniture, and other surfaces, dry mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, spot cleaning walls and windows, and using high-speed buffers.
• Cleans and maintains assigned equipment.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 40 pounds. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, reaching, and stooping are also required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Notifies supervisor of equipment and facility repairs or replacements.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand signs indicating danger.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment such as scrubbers and extractors.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for the work site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience.
• Graduate of GGW’s NISH custodial training program.
