ND State Parks – multiple locations (listed below) – Custodian

Full-time/Part-time (15-40 hours/week)

Starting at $15-$17 per hour

Seasonal Housing Available

Are you someone who loves working outdoors, takes pride in keeping things clean, and wants to contribute to a welcoming environment? The North Dakota Parks & Recreation team is looking for a Custodian to help maintain our beautiful state parks and ensure facilities are always ready for visitors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Clean & Maintain Facilities: Take care of restrooms, picnic areas, visitor centers, and other park buildings.

Minor Repairs: Handle small repairs and help keep everything in working order.

Restock Supplies: Make sure visitors have everything they need for a great experience – from stocked restrooms to clean public spaces.

Ensure High Standards: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation to provide a welcoming, safe environment for everyone.

Assist with Events: Help prepare for seasonal events and special park activities.

Work Flexible Hours: You’ll work when the park needs it most, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in general maintenance (janitorial, landscaping, painting, or groundskeeping).

Willingness to learn new skills like minor repairs or using tools and equipment.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Valid driver’s license to get around the park.

Must be at least 16 years old.
