Job summary

Lincolnview Schools seeks a custodial technician for a 12-month, 260-day contract, 2nd shift (8 hours/day with overtime potential). Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe facility and coordinating for meetings, classroom activities, and events.

You will work with students, teachers, and staff; receive and complete work orders, and assist the food service department. Occasional Saturdays and limited bus driving when needed are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain Bus Driver license/CDL.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Interest in minor repairs and maintenance.
• Experience with grounds/snow removal and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility’s cleanliness and safety; perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Schedule and carry out tasks; restock supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with students, teachers, and staff; maintain a positive attitude.
• Handle work orders for safety, maintenance, and assistance issues.
• Lift up to 50 pounds (boxes, crates, bags, etc.).
• Respond to building emergencies when on call.
• Document regular safety inspections of equipment.
• Complete assigned custodial and maintenance tasks.
• Assist food service with supplies and inventory checks.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance & Transportation.
• Work occasional Saturdays for events setup.
• Drive a school bus route on a limited sub-basis when needed.

Summary

This is a 12-month/260 day per year custodial contract, 2nd shift (8 hours/day with overtime potential). Responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe facility; providing arrangements for meetings, classroom activities, and events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility’s cleanliness and safety; schedule and carry out routine cleaning and general maintenance tasks such as removing trash, cleaning offices and restrooms, restocking paper and soap supplies, and other duties assigned.
• Perform routine execution of simple established cleaning tasks, general maintenance, organizing, safety inspections, and awareness of safety concerns of property, building, and students.
• Work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff; maintain a positive attitude.
• Receive and complete work orders for safety, maintenance, and assistance issues in your area.
• Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds (boxes, crates, bags, etc.).
• Respond to building emergencies when on call.
• Make and document regular safety inspections of equipment.
• Complete assigned custodial and maintenance area tasks.
• Assist food service department in putting away supplies and checking inventory.
• Other duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance & Transportation.
• Work occasional Saturday hours for setup for sporting events and school activities.
• Drive a school bus route on a limited sub‑basis when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent technical/trade school training in Custodial Services Technician or related trade.
• Ability to obtain a Bus Driver license/CDL.
• Knowledge of different cleaning methods, materials, and equipment; safe work practices.
• Additional interest given for candidates who have knowledge and ability to use tools for minor repair of furniture, equipment, and building areas.
• Experience or interest in operating grounds and lawn equipment, snow removal, landscaping, and general maintenance.

Salary and Benefits

Per LCEA (Lincolnview Classified Education Association) negotiated agreement based on experience – $20.26 to $25.26 an hour. Package also includes membership in the public retirement system.
