Overview

Performs front line supervision of custodial employees. This position is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and maintaining high standards in assigned areas, behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
2. Supervises assigned janitorial employees during weekdays and on assigned weekends.
3. Orientates and trains new employees.
4. Conducts proper floor care training and procedures.
5. Performs cleaning duties such as dusting lights, furniture, and other surfaces; dry mopping hard floors; vacuuming carpets; emptying trash containers and ashtrays; spot cleaning walls and windows; and using the high-speed buffer to burnish floors.
6. Establishes staffing requirements for various functions daily.
7. Performs daily physical inspections in assigned areas.

Note: This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 40 pounds. Prolonged walking and standing are necessary, along with frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Mixes basic cleaning solutions.
2. Maintains cleanliness and proper condition of supply and utility rooms daily.
3. Assists in inventory control through proper daily usage.
4. Prepares weekly quality control and inspection reports.
5. Evaluates and develops rapport with all employees in the assigned building.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

2. Skilled in cleaning methods and equipment.
3. Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate strength.
4. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience or 1-2 years as a lead worker or custodian with supervisory training, which may substitute for supervisory experience.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
