Job summary

SBM Management Services Puerto Rico, LLC is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness across assigned sites in Puerto Rico. The role emphasizes safety, efficient cleaning, and responsive service.

Responsibilities include janitorial tasks, operating cleaning equipment, handling hazardous waste, reporting hazards, and adhering to safety policies. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally drive to client locations as needed.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or an equivalent combination.
• Valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
• Follow daily schedule and complete duties on time.
• Handle hazardous waste responsibilities including collection, classification, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling and packaging.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain equipment.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Work in a team and assist staff during shortages.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance.
• Maintain clean work area and follow company protocols.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers and customers.
