Position: Custodian/Public Facilities Maintenance, East Metro (Education)

Responsibilities & Duties

ESSENTIAL:

• Perform duties as a building custodian, shelter washer, or landscape custodian, including trash pickup, operating maintenance vehicles, snow removal, cleaning and stocking restrooms, sweeping grounds, replacing fixtures, scrubbing pits, floors, carpets, dusting, window cleaning, driving to facilities, shelter cleaning, graffiti removal, and maintaining landscaped areas.
• Communicate politely and tactfully with the public.
• Control weeds, mulch beds, aerate lawns, plant and water flowers, prune trees, mow, and trim RTD properties.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment and perform painting as directed.

OTHER:

• Complete special projects and assignments as directed.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado "R" driver's license; no DUI, DWI, or reckless driving in the past 5 years.
• Forklift operator license within 1 year.
• Knowledge of safety policies, chemical handling, industrial cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Flexible schedule, self-starter, problem solver, and effective communicator.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work off ladders/lifts.

Pay Range: $20.81 - $22.96 Hourly
