A leading museum in Fishers, Indiana is seeking custodians to maintain cleanliness and support operations across various facilities. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and have experience in custodial duties. This position requires flexibility for various shifts including weekends and special events. Applicants with strong customer service skills will be favored, as the role involves working in public spaces.
Principal Function: To perform custodial and housekeeping responsibilities in the Museum Center, Clowes Common, Bayt, Necessary, Amenities, Facilities Building Restrooms and Presidents House along with other inside and outside areas of the property. May work during special and scheduled events/programs to assist with custodial and housekeeping duties.
Dependent on the needs of the organization, this job description can pertain to full- and part-time custodians as well as part-time flex/seasonal positions. It can also pertain to day, evening, night and weekend custodial positions.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous custodial or housekeeping experience desired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is exposed to working in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), and outdoor weather conditions. The employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and work with explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Conner Prairie is generally open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, this position will be required to work beyond these hours and when open for special events.
