Part-Time Custodian

Responsibilities include custodial cleaning of the Operations Center and Maintenance shop. Hourly rate: $16.40/hour + DOE/DOQ. Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday — 15-24 hours/week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS:

Sweeps, mops, waxes, dusts, vacuums and other general cleaning in assigned area.
Scrubs and disinfects toilet doors daily and cleans drinking fountains, urinals, toilet bowls and other fixtures daily to keep them clean and sanitary.
Washes all windows, when needed.
Reports immediately any damage to school property, giving the names of responsible individuals whenever possible.
Remains on the premises during school hours.
Orders and maintains supplies required for workers to complete their responsibilities.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and/or Principal.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Candidate must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to get along well with others.

Training and Experience

Has high school diploma or GED.
Ability to read basic operating instructions.
Has some custodial cleaning experience or the ability to be trained in these areas.
Hold a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license.

Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, and outside weather. Noise level typically moderate. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
