Job description

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst performs a variety of analytical work related to regulations, subpoenas, certification of records, and public records. The performance of duties must be accomplished in accordance with CalVCB policies and in compliance with the established rules and standards governing the program. Candidates must have the ability to perform the following essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Occasional travel is required.

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in person at least two (2) days per week and as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2025, all employees will be required to work in person four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. We do not accept STEM-OPT. CalVCB is located at 400 R Street in downtown Sacramento, blocks from the light rail and public transportation and within walking distance to restaurants, Sacramento River levee bike trail, the State Capitol, farmer's markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50 and Highway 80.
