Job summary

Hopewell Valley Regional School District seeks candidates for an anticipated 2025-2026 opening in facilities operations. The role focuses on plant operation, maintenance, and HVAC systems, with emphasis on safe, reliable building services for the district.

Applicants should be able to read, write, and communicate effectively, and meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional use of ladders or aerial lifts with training. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally 80 pounds.
• Boiler license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant operations and maintenance as described in the job description.
• Follow cleaning methods and procedures for facility upkeep.
• Maintain heating and ventilation systems.
• Ensure safe work practices and effective communication.
• Fulfill physical duties including climbing ladders and using aerial lifts with training.

ANTICIPATED 2025 - 2026 OPENING

Duties: Per the attached job description

Including:

• Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance
• Cleaning methods and procedures
• Heating and ventilation
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to frequently work on a ladder and occasionally use aerial lifts with proper training.
• Required criminal history background check
• Boiler license preferred

Effective Date: As soon as possible

Salary: Following the HVESPA Salary Guide, ranging from $38,397 - $66,470

Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable collective bargaining agreements.
