JOB STATUS: FLSA Overtime Eligible
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator or Coordinator, Custodial Services
DEPARTMENT: Business Operations

Position Summary

To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient environment for learning, playing, and development.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent training and experience.
• Proficiency in general repair, painting, cleaning, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Ability to communicate courteously.
• Neat appearance and ability to carry out duties.
• Other acceptable qualifications as determined by the Board of Education.

Essential Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of building, sidewalks, and play areas.
• Notify appropriate personnel of emergencies; manage building systems as needed.
• Follow all laws and regulations for maintenance and safety [OSHA].
• Perform groundskeeping, cleaning, minor repairs, and safety checks.
• Ensure building security and safety protocols are followed daily.
• Maintain inventory and assist with moving furniture and equipment.
• Report damages, safety hazards, misconduct, and property issues promptly.
• Remain on premises during scheduled hours, including opening and closing the building.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional behavior at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Terms of Employment

261 days (including holidays), 8 hours/day, with salary ranging from $19.49 to $23.11 per hour, based on experience and negotiated agreement.
