Neighborhood House Association in San Diego is seeking a reliable custodian to perform custodial and cleaning duties at Head Start sites and offices, preparing rooms for meetings and ensuring safe, orderly facilities.
Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, trash disposal, setting up conference rooms, and assisting with maintenance reporting. Requires high school diploma or GED and at least one year of custodial experience; CPR/First Aid certification due within 90 days.
The Neighborhood House Association is a non-profit organization. Head Start positions are funded in whole or in part by money provided through the State and Federal Government. Additionally, some Social Service Program positions may be funded in whole or in part through grant funds. Because positions and salaries may be funded through grants, and State and Federal funds ongoing employment will be contingent upon the continued receipt of these funds.

Under general supervision of the Lead Custodian, performs custodial and cleaning duties at the NHA Head Start sites and administrative offices; prepares rooms and facilities for meetings; and performs related duties as assigned.

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school, or G.E.D. equivalent; and one year of custodial experience.
Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR must be met within 90 days of employment. Must meet and maintain State law and County licensing requirements regarding employment in a childcare center (Fingerprints, TB, Physical and Immunizations).
