Responsibilities

1. Supervise and instruct other custodians.
2. Perform meeting set-ups and take-downs, including moving furniture, setting up chairs, preparing rooms, etc.
3. Monitor assigned areas by walking halls and grounds; pick up and dispose of trash.
4. Dust fixtures in assigned areas.
5. Clean bathrooms by mopping floors, cleaning toilets, and wiping walls, mirrors, and sinks.
6. Maintain consistent, regular attendance; arrive and leave at scheduled times; respect break and lunch periods; follow district procedures for absences.
7. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement new methods within your authority; adapt positively to changes in responsibilities and schedules.
8. Follow Board of Education policies, building or department procedures, and other rules established by administration.
9. Clean assigned areas thoroughly, including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, buffing, stripping floors, and cleaning walls and windows.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Criminal background check required for hire

Additional Information

Can work daytime hours during the summer. During the school year, work hours are between 3:00 pm and 11:30 pm.

Starting salary is $21.98 per hour plus benefits. Additional compensation is based on relevant experience.

Work year consists of 245 contract days (Custodial Calendar).
